The Junior League of Winston-Salem Turns 100!

The Junior League of Winston-Salem (JLWS) is turning 100 next year! Our Centennial celebration has three main components which provide opportunities for every member to participate.

Community Gift

The JLWS will create a new endowment at the Winston-Salem Foundation. The funds in the endowment will support individual schools within the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School system which aligns with our mission of increasing children’s literacy. The goal is to raise $100,000 for the endowment. Proceeds from the fall fundraiser, The Little Black Dress Initiative, will support the League’s Community Gift.

In February of 2023, an exhibition will open at Reynolda House on the Lake Porch and will highlight the Junior League of Winston-Salem’s milestones and contributions to the city and surrounding area. The exhibition will be open to the public and will educate museum-goers on the JLWS and its historic place in the history of the Reynolda estate and Winston-Salem.

On March 25, 2023, members will celebrate the Junior League of Winston-Salem’s 100th birthday at Forsyth Country Club with a gala. More details to follow!
