Little Black Dress Week is September 24th-October 1st.

We invite you to wear your black outfit of choice this week to make a statement and show your support for the Junior League of Winston-Salem! All proceeds this year will benefit our Centennial Community Fundraiser, which is an endowed fund at the Winston- Salem Foundation to support public schools and students in our community.

• Join us Sunday, September 25th for a Dress for Success Clothing Drive and Social Event, from 12-4 at Footnote. Come sporting your black attire to make a donation of gently used work attire pieces to Dress For Success. DFS would appreciate shoes, handbags, jewelry, and business casual clothing.  They also can use scrubs, khakis, and polo shirts. Park in the back of Footnote to make donations. Please come inside Footnote to enjoy complimentary appetizers and a cash bar. Please invite neighbors, friends, and colleagues to support the women of our community! Let’s make some collaborative noise with Dress for Success!
• We will be having a Mini Clothing Drive and Information Tour at Dress for Success Headquarters, on Wednesday, September 28th from 5-7 p.m. Please come and make a clothing donation, and all are welcome to take a tour of the DFS facility to see how the organization works. Come and learn about all the services that DFS provides for the women in Triad! The clothing they collect is just a start…they do so much more to support working women to pursue and maintain employment!
• Let’s Pedal Out Poverty! Come join us at Cyclebar on Saturday, October 1st from 11:30-12:15. A ride will cost $20 per person, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly towards our Centennial Community Fundraiser. Let’s jam to some 90s hip hop and enjoy some time together! Please come wearing your black workout gear (duh!) as well as touches of pink to show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
