Little Black Dress Initiative

Saturday, January 27, 2024 - Saturday, February 3, 2024

Welcome to the JLWS community awareness and fundraiser, Little Black Dress Initiative!  For our 2024 campaign, we are focusing on food insecurity and how it impacts our community.  JLWS has raised over $45,000 since our initial campaign.  As an advocate, you’ll wear your LBDI button along with a favorite black outfit, and share information about our campaign via social media and networking avenues.

‘Dress’ is a verb – how are you ‘dressing’ your person, profile, handle, or conversation to help raise awareness and fight hunger in Winston-Salem?  For five days, we are committed to wearing the same black outfit to let our community know that we are vested members who want to see change!

By participating, you’ll have the opportunity to hone your social media and fundraising skills, engage your network for change in our community, make friends and family aware of why you are proud to support the Junior League, and add your voice to myth-busting and awareness-raising about important issues.

The League will provide pre-LBDI training and will supply you with all the details and images for social media you’ll need to help us rock this week.  More information coming soon about events and trainings!

LBDI runs through Jan 27th – Feb. 3rd, 2024.

We ask that each advocate pledge to at least a $200 minimum in fundraising efforts.  We can do it!
