Literacy & Education Equity Fund Grants
The purpose of the JLWS Literacy & Education Equity Fund (LEEF) mini-grants program, founded in 2023 as part of the Junior League of Winston-Salem’s Centennial Celebration, is to financially support individual teachers and schools within the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School system on projects and programs that align with our community focus areas of children’s literacy, educating and mentoring youth, and improving family health outcomes. Average mini-grant is expected to be $250, but teachers & schools are encouraged to apply for funding needs anywhere between $100-$1000.
The first round of applications, for Fall 2023, will open on September 14, 2023, and close on October 15, 2023. Local educators, schools, parent-teacher organizations, and literacy programs working directly in schools are encouraged to learn more about apply at bit.ly/JLWSgrants.
The next round of JLWS LEEF mini-grants will take place in Spring 2024.
