Literacy & Education Equity Fund Grants

We are excited to announce the launch of our Spring 2024 Literacy & Education Equity Fund (LEEF) mini-grants application cycle on March 8th!

Founded as part of our JLWS Centennial, the purpose of the mini-grants program is to financially support individual teachers and schools within the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School system on projects and programs that align with the JLWS’s community focus areas of children’s literacy, educating and mentoring youth, and improving family health outcomes. Our average mini-grant is expected to be $250.

The application window for our Spring 2024 mini-grants opens on March 8th, and will close on Friday, March 29th, 2024. Please share with any local WSFCS educators, schools, and parent-teacher organizationsin your networks and encourage them to apply if they have funding needs! Additional details and the application can be found here. You can contribute to the JLWS Literacy & Education Equity Fund at the Winston-Salem Foundation anytime by clicking here.
