The objective of the Strong Women, Strong Families placement is to further the Junior League of Winston-Salem’s mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Through activities of this committee, we strive to improve the health profile of the community beginning with various initiatives concentrating on Kimberley Park Elementary School and Cook Literacy Model School. The events will accomplish three goals: to facilitate relationships with the medical community, educate the community on healthy food preparation, and provide a meal.
